Written by Kart Kingdom was a kids’ free play game launched by PBS Kids where your avatar could explore the overworld, make friends, and more! Your character drives around in a customizable cart decorated with stickers, fancy wheels, and even a cake on top of it! You could also explore quests and gather materials to earn rewards!
There was a popular minigame where you could race in your cart with players everywhere and get to the top of the leaderboards to get prizes!
This game was safe with pre-written chat messages such as “hello,” and “do you want to race?”
But five years after it’s launch, on October 1, 2020, Kart Kingdom retired!
Before the website shut down, players could take a screenshot of their avatar and print it out as a souvenir.
I’m really sad this game is no longer playable, because it was fun for all ages. I still wish I could play it now, even though I’m 12 years old.
