One day, Mary was at home when the spirit of the Lord came to her and said, “You will be with child, not by Joseph, but by the Lord, and you will call his name Jesus.” Then, when Joseph saw she was pregnant, he had in mind to divorce her quietly, but an angel of the Lord came to him, saying, “Do not be afraid to take Mary’s hand in marriage.” Then, when Jesus was born, shepherds and wisemen alike came to visit him! THAT is the origin of Christmas.
