Social media has become something really common nowadays. Although it is for adults, you will find kids of all ages as well. This happens because even though you can’t sign up for social media until a certain age (13 yrs.), there is still no real age verification, so it’s easy for kids to sign up.

I suggest that kids can use social media, but their account must be supervised by their parent/legal guardian. Social media sites are not the safest places on the internet. The safe side is where educational and appropriate content is shown, and the dark side is the opposite of the safe side.

Social media can have hackers, scammers, inappropriate mature content, drug dealers, etc. These all hide out there, waiting for an innocent user to show up. Sometimes kids happen to run into cyberbullying, which can affect their mental and physical health.
