Rest In Peace Queen Elizabeth II !

Queen Elizabeth II ended  her 7 decade reign on the 8th of September 2022.  That occasion broke many people’s hearts in just minutes. She was born on the 21st of April 1926. She was 96 years old when she passed away.  Queen Elizabeth II was Britain’s longest serving monarch.

The Queen will ultimately be laid to rest within St George’s Chapel, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, alongside her “strength and stay” of 73 years, Prince Philip.

Following the Queen’s death, her oak coffin will be covered with the Royal Standard for Scotland flag and bouquets of flowers that were at the ballroom of the castle Balmoral, where staff had the chance to pay their last respects to their monarchy. On Sunday morning,  her groundkeepers carried her coffin to the waiting hearse. Until September 19th people will have the chance to pay their gratitude and respect to the queen. The world leaders will be attending her funeral. Also Sri Lanka’s President – Ranil Wikramasigha plans to attend on that day.

After Queen Elizabeth II , her place will be handed over to her first child, Prince Charles (now King Charles III). Also, all the notes and coins with the queen’s images are to be replaced by notes with images of King Charles III, and the national anthem of Britain will be changed from “God save our Queen” to “God save our King.“
