Disaster happens when real living dinosaurs are discovered. We learn about the adventures of Prof. Challenger, Edward Malone, Sir J. Roxton, and Prof. Summerley.
The book asks the question – “What if dinosaurs never really died out, and are still living in a remote corner of the world?” Professor Challenger decides to go on an expedition to explore the jungles of South America. He takes along another scientist, a hunter, and a writer.
As they explore things, they are surprised to find plants that they thought were extinct. While discovering a new mountain area, they see creatures that appear to be from the dinosaur age, as if they never went extinct in this part of the world. They must now survive in a prehistoric world.
