These are some things to note to become your fabulous pet cats’ preferred human. But please keep in mind that all cats are different.
So, if you have a cat that is the opposite of some of these things, you don’t need to let me know. I got all these notes from YouTube.
Enjoy!
1. Cats prefer people who don’t manhandle them.
Butttt all cats are different. If you have a cat and they like it when you hold it, then just do what you know your cat is comfortable with.
2. Studies show that cats are more likely to approach humans when they are in a relaxed state, such as when reading a book or engaging in a quiet hobby.
REMEMBER. Do not corner your cat! Cats like to take control of their environment.
3. Avoid forcing your cat to be in contact with you.
Encourage them instead. Best to let the cat make the first move.
4. Studies show if humans respond to their cats’ calls, like meows, purrs, or touch, they are likelier to receive affection and approval.
Responding to your cat can be a smile, a hello, or a small gesture to let your cat know you are giving them attention.
5. Comfort your cat when they are feeling anxious, nervous, or blue.
Blue means sad or unhappy or both.
6. Understand if your cat wants to be left alone.
Cats will appreciate it when you understand their needs.
7. Cats may avoid people who are frightening or impulsive.
Be a good-mannered person to your cat. Treat them like they’re an actual friend. And that is also why cats prefer elderly humans instead of unpredictable youngsters (no offense)
8. Cats find loud noises and sudden movement stressful.
Oh my! Please never scare your cat!
9. Sometimes Speaking in your natural voice will win being your cat’s favorite human.
10. When you speak quietly, your cat will enjoy your vocalization.
Speak calmly. And never shout at your cat.
11. Cats show affection to people who offer food to them.
12. Did you know cats are keenly aware of who feeds them? And also exactly what time they do?
13. A cat’s favorite human is a person who puts effort into spending time with them.
Spending 15 minutes of your time each day twirling around a toy mouse is a great way to carry favor.
14. Cats also show affection to someone who brushes them, invites them on their lap, or talks to them.
15. Have quality time with your cat. Not quantity!
Would you like your parents to spend only 1 hour with you for a whole week? Or 3o minutes each day? I would pick 30 minutes every day. This goes the same with your cat!
Ok, that’s all the notes I have for this post. Thank you for reading it to the very end!!! I’ll probably not make any more of these.
Comment if you have a cat!
