“Erm… That’s horrible….” I said cautiously.
Checkers put on his exasperated face, “OF COURSE IT SOUNDS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!”
“Y’all calm down! We can git out of this situation, ‘ya know?” Crumbles said.
“WE LITERALLY JUST AGREED THERE IS NO WAY TO GET OUT OF THE OVEN!!!!!!!” He shrieked, “AND NOW IT’S JUST A COINCIDENCE THAT NOW WE CAN AS SOON AS I FLIP OUT!!!????”
“Well maybe if you HUSH, then we can find out a way!” I said, starting to feel a little irritated.
“NO, YOU HUSH!” Checkers was starting to get to the point where his voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
“Esie, what do you suppose?” Crumbles asked, trying apparently very hard to block out Checker’s harsh fury in the backround.
I thought very hard for a few minutes. Maybe it was just me, but I thought I DID remember stuff before the oven….um… “hmmmmm,” I said aloud, “Well there has to be SOME way to get OUT of the oven IF WE GOT IN…” I had trouble reading my own thoughts because of Checker’s shrill voice. “WAIT, I REMEMBER SOMETHING, CHECKERS, HUSH! I did remember something! There was this DOOR into the oven that you could pull down. If somehow we could apply enough FORCE to the door we could push it down, maybe? No….There is NO way three cookies could pull off such a feat.
Suddenly, the oven “door” opened! Was it magic? No! It was the chef! He carefully slid the pan in which we were contained out of the oven. Then he placed us upon the top of the oven.
“Well, no, kids, you cannot have a cookie yet for they have to cool off first! Johnathan! Stop pulling her hair!” The chef said in a gruff voice. At least HE wasn’t interested in eating me.
But when the chef entered another room, the kid named “Johnathan” snuck up quickly and quietly to the stove so no one would notice, and snatched up all three of us!
