The god’s there would not let her give up her great beauty, so only her bottom turned into a fish and she kept her top half. Mermaids live in the sea, eat seaweed, and love shells. They also live in Florida where you can see them at weekly watches near Springs State Park near Spring Hill, so they are real in my opinion.
