Hello! It’s DancerGirl887, and you are reading the last Lent post, because next week is Palm Sunday (Don’t worry guys, I’ll make a post!).
This week is the last week to go to a fish fry and give your money boxes (week 2 exercise). Just so you guys know, I am making a weekly article thing after Lent, so stay tuned!
Some of you know of the saint St. Patrick of Ireland. St. Patrick was kidnapped by pirates when he was very young, around his early teen years. There, he was a slave for pagans (if you do not know what a pagan is, it’s a non-believer; no one takes offense to this), and they tried to make him worship their gods.
They played tricks to make it seem like the god of theirs was actually doing what they said to do, but Patrick’s God was real. He worked miracles with no strings attached. And when it seemed as though it was helpless, Patrick kept praying to God, knowing he just needed to have faith. So that’s the word of the week: faith. Here’s a bible verse for this week:
“I am troubled now. Yet what should I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But it was for this purpose that I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it and will glorify it again.” John 12:27–28
Your exercise for the week is simple. All you have to do is:
1. Find the song ‘Stand in Faith’ by Danny Gokey, and listen to the lyrics carefully.
2. Find a bible verse about faith.
Comment below what you think of the song and what verse you found!
Thanks for reading, and God bless!
