I’m sure most of you have probably heard of Hello Kitty at least once in your life. But what if I told you that she has some friends who may be just as popular as she is?
What if I told you that there is a whole company that makes merchandise out of Hello Kitty and her friends? Would you believe me?
Well, there is in fact a company that makes all sorts of merchandise out of Hello Kitty, but it only gets better from there. That company doesn’t only make merch out of her, but also a whole bunch of her friends!
It would take a long time to list all of her friends because there are just too many, but today I will be going over some of her most well-known friends and some facts about them.
Let’s get started!
1. Cinnamoroll
Cinnamoroll is one of the most well-known Sanrio characters out there. You may think Cinnamoroll is a girl, but think again. It’s actually a boy!
He was born on March 6 and his zodiac sign is Pisces.
One of his main hobbies is baking and his favorite food is cinnamon rolls. He is a “white puppy” with no actual known breed of canine.
In conclusion, he is left-handed which is extremely rare and only 10% of people in the world are left-handed (I’m part of that 10%).
2. Kuromi
As you may have noticed by her appearance, Kuromi loves the color black, which is probably why her favorite holiday is Halloween.
Fun fact: Kuromi and My Melody, another Sanrio character (more on her later) are surprisingly rivals.
Kuromi has a passion for cooking, which is her favorite hobby, like Cinnamoroll’s. Lastly, her species is a rabbit.
3. Pompompurin
Pompompurin is a golden retriever dog that is absolutely obsessed with caramel pudding. “Purim” means pudding in Japanese, so that’s the reason Pompom PURIN is obsessed with caramel pudding.
He was born on April 16, therefore he is considered an Aries. The main traits of an Aries include energetic, happy, and playful which all describe this pup very well.
4. Hello Kitty
Hello Kitty was one of the first main characters that made Sanrio skyrocket. She is by far one of the most popular characters ever created.
Hello Kitty’s full name is Kitty white. Her cat breed is a Japanese bobtail and surprisingly she dislikes catnip, unlike other cats who will go absolutely insane for it.
Her most famous quote is “You can never have too many friends,” which definitely matches her friendly personality.
