Admit it! At least once in your lifetime, you sang a little tune or song in the shower or bathtub. But still! You’re a rockstar! And that’s amazing! No shame!

Have you ever wondered why you sing in the shower? Or why do your siblings, grandparents, or parents do it? Well, just read on. Your question will be solved just like that!

Why do people sing in the shower?

One of the big reasons is because of where you are. You’re in a comfortable, private space. You’re alone, with warm/cold/hot water washing over you, which releases a feel-good chemical called dopamine. Bringing up your mood!

Thinking in scientific terms, when you sing, oxygen travels through your throat, or what we call “breathing” 🙄. And that can make you feel good.

For example, when we just need enough of life, we like to take deep breaths. We know that deep breaths help us calm down. The same goes for singing!

Thank you all for reading to the very end! Goodbye now!
